The Lena is one of the ten greatest rivers on the planet. There are no
dams, weirs or hydroelectric stations on the river. The Lena flows as it did
millions ages ago.

Day 1. Moscow-
Yakutsk
In the Moscow airport, you will be met by
our representative. Evening flight to Yakutsk. Flight time is 6 hours. Because
of the time difference of 6 hours, you will land early in the morning in
Yakutsk. Transfer to the river port, accommodation on the ship. In the evening Captain's "welcome" cocktail.
Day 2. Lena Pillars
The Lena Pillars is a unique and magic
place. The sharp rocks like pillars with height over 180 meters and length is
80 kilometers along the river. Excursion to the panoramic view sites up the
rocks and to the taiga.
Day 3. Yakutsk
Sightseeing city tour with visiting
souvenirs and fur shops. Excursions to the museum of precious stones and
metals, Ethnographic museum, Mammoth museum and the unique Permafrost Research
Institute with underground laboratory.
Day 4. Lyampiske River mouth
Stop in Lyampiske River mouth.
Walk-excursion to forest-taiga, fishing, leisure on the riverbank.
Day 4. Arctic Circle
Crossing the Arctic Circle with festival
and show-program! The invisible border of the Arctic Circle is the legendary
island Agrafena, there are a lot of legends connected with it.
Day 7. Kusur
Hiking tour in typical for Arctic Circle
small village. Meeting with mode of life of locales. Mans engages in rendering
and hunting, woman make beautiful national dresses, decorated with fur and
beads.
Day 8. Column Island
Local people say that it was ancient
shaman dwelling. The height of the island - 104 meters. Hiking to the top of
this column, where you cane see stone pyramid which reminds a topographical
mark. Their is a picturesque view from that place.
Day 8. Bikove promontory
Bikove promontory - is the place, where
Lena finishing it's swift running to the Arctic Ocean.
Day 9. Chekurovka
Fishing in the territory of ex-fish-farm,
where were propagated such kinds of fishe like nelma, muskune. Fish-barbecue.
Day 10. Going to Natara
Show-program on the boat of ship with
national folk groups and shamans.
Day 11. Natara
Green stop in the beautiful place on the
bank of the Natara River. Fishing, leisure, walk to forest-taiga, picking
mushrooms and berries. Picnic on a river bank with tasting the Northern
Peoples' cuisine.
Day 12. Zhigansk
Zhigansk is the first settlement after the
crossing Arctic Circle. Before the Revolution, the exile to this place was the
cruelest punishment, few of prisoners could came back from this place.
Excursion to the places of interest. Tourists will become familiar with native
people of this place who are fishermen and hunters.
Day 13. Viluy River mouth
Green stop in the picturesque place near
the mouth of the Viluy River. Walk-excursion to forest-taiga, fishing, leisure
on the riverbank, picking mushrooms and berries. Picnic on the bank with tasting
traditional fish soup and the others dishes of national cuisine. Our guide will
tell you about life and culture of native people. Folk program.
Day 14. Taiga
Green stop during a day. Walk-excursion to
taiga, barbecue on the riverbank.
Day 15. Sottintsy
All day excursion to the History and
Architecture museum on open air "Druzhba", where the old wooden
houses of Yakutian and Russian people are represented. The museum's guide will
tell you about the life and culture of Northern peoples. Participation in the
Yakutian holiday "Ysyakh". Parting fire on the riverbank with ritual
dances and shaman ride "Cleansing by
fire".
Day 16. Yakutsk-Moscow
Returning to Yakutsk. Transfer to the airport.
The flight to Moscow at a first part of
a day.
